AnsvarligTurisme.org was established in 2007 to provide information and create awareness about responsible tourism. Passionate about travelling responsibly, our founder Linda Veraasdal has a Masters in Responsible Tourism Management from Greenwich University, in the UK and has travelled to destinations we are promoting to see the projects herself. Ms Veraasdal has also worked with ICRT in India and led a team of researchers to study the spending patterns of tourists in the beach destination of Gokarna. She has led tours to The Gambia.
 
Responsible tourism is about maximizing positive impact and to minimize negative of tourism. It's is about creating better places for people to live in and visit. Here we are show-casing holidays that are known to be making positive impacts to the host communities.

Sensing the need for Universities, Academicians, Students and the travel industry to have in-depth knowledge of developments in Sustainable tourism, AnsvarligTurisme.org launched the Ethical Travel Portal where only study trips on responsible tourism to various destinations are featured. Currenly we are running study trips to The Gambia and India. More destinations will be added in the near future.
